Jim has been the principal dentist at Emsworth Dental Surgery since he and Caroline took over the practice in March 2008. He qualified in 1998 from Bristol Dental School and completed his Foundation training in Bristol. Following this he spent two years at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth as a surgical senior house officer gaining experience in all aspects of oral surgery. It was while at Plymouth that Jim gained his membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery. The next year was spent in the Personal Dental Service which was a community based position serving the dental needs of inner city Bristol. Jim spent a further seven years as a general dental practitioner working both  in Bristol and Wellington, Somerset. 

The birth of Jim and Caroline’s children bought them to Emsworth to be nearer family. The practice has grown considerably over the past eight years and Jim was appointed as an Educational Supervisor in 2010. He has responsibility for the education of his Foundation dentist and regularly teaches within the practice and at the study days organised by the Wessex Deanery.

Jim is a General Dental Practioner with an interest in oral surgery and occlusion (how our teeth bite together). This complex subject is very relevant to treating muscular pain around the jaws and certain types of headache.

Caroline graduated from University of Bristol dental school in 1999 and since then has worked in general practice. She has a wide range of interests including periodontology, preventative dentistry and treating children. She enjoys visiting schools and nurseries to promote oral health education.

Caroline is extremely proud of the New Practice and is excited about the new opportunities it offers. Outside the Practice she enjoys family life with her two children, her friends, travelling and Pilates.

Harpreet also known, as ‘Harry’ to his family and friends became a partner and principal dentist at Emsworth Dental Surgery alongside James and Caroline in January 2017. He qualified from Kings College London in 2011 having completed his degrees both in Dentistry and Biomedical Science. He completed his foundation training year in Emsworth and stayed on as an associate having fallen in love with the area. In 2015 he helped project manage and oversee the build of our New Dental Surgery on the High Street and is currently overseeing the expansion upstairs.

Harry’s enthusiasm for knowledge in dentistry has allowed him membership to the Joint Dental Faculty. He embarked on a double Masters in Clinical Dentistry for fixed and removable prosthodontics in 2014. Furthermore, he has finished a Diploma in Implantology which allows him to replace missing teeth and has confidently been placing implants for the last 7 years.

As a General Dental Practitioner Harpreet has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry especially “smile makeovers” This is supported by being an Invisalign provider which can straighten your teeth in little as 3-6 months. Over the years, he has helped many patients achieve their dream smiles, which has entitled him to become an Invisalign Diamond Apex Provider.

Harminder graduated from Kings College London in 2011. Having completed her foundation training in Wales, she moved down South in 2012. Over the years she has been working in furthering her skills and knowledge in General Dentistry. This is reflected in her post-graduate training, Member of the Joint Dental Faculties and is currently working on obtaining a Masters in Advanced Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry at University of Portsmouth, which will allow her to deliver complex treatments for worn dentition to provide a natural aesthetic smile. She is also trained to provide Invisalign, Quick Straight Teeth and Enlighten Whitening.

Isla graduated from Bristol University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1998. Since graduating, she has worked in general practice and was a Clinical Assistant in the Oral Surgery Department at Bristol Dental Hospital until she moved to Hampshire. She has always been keen to continue to develop her skills and knowledge. She gained her Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies in 2004 at Bristol University and more recently has completed an Advanced Postgraduate Restorative course, based in London, under the supervision of Professor Paul Tipton and an aesthetic dentistry course with the renowned Dr Monik Vassant.

Isla’s approach is gentle and she enjoys building strong, professional and trusting relationships with her patients. Her aim is to provide the best possible care, with the most minimally invasive intervention, and is passionate about paying attention to the finest of details in her work, in order to achieve results her patients love. She is a certified Invisalign provider for clear orthodontic treatment and when required is able to combine a blend of orthodontic tooth movement, with cosmetic dentistry to deliver beautiful smiles. As well as dentistry, Isla has an interest in providing Dermal Fillers and Anti Wrinkle Treatment. With this, she aims to soften the ageing process, enhance the patients features and beauty, while maintaining a revitalised natural appearance.

Isla is married with three children and in her free time loves exercising, walking the dog and competing throughout the UK as a qualified racing driver in the Caterham car her husband built for her.

Gemma is one of our associate dentists who graduated from Plymouth Dental School and has been with us since September 2018, completing her foundation training at the practice. Following this, she completed her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons examinations with the Royal College of Surgeons.

Gemma has an interest in minimally invasive dentistry and has recently completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative dentistry with the London Freshdental Institute. This includes all aspects of cosmetic dentistry such as composite bonding and Invisalign. Her calm and caring nature also makes her an ideal dentist for nervous patients.

Gemma has recently been appointed as a joint Educational Supervisor, working with Jim in educating our Foundation dentists.

Gemma moved to Emsworth in March 2020. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her dog Bernie, horse riding and other outdoor activities such as running, swimming and enjoying the water sports Emsworth has to offer.

Craig graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2021. He has returned to the practice after completing his Foundation Training year here and now works as one of our associate dentists.

Craig has an interest in all areas of general dentistry and regularly attends course to continue to develop his skills and knowledge. He has a kind and compassionate approach making him ideal for treating nervous patients.

Outside of work he enjoys spending time in the outdoors hiking, cycling or kayaking.

Tilly graduated from King’s College London in 2024 on the graduate dentistry programme after completing an undergraduate degree in Applied Anatomy at the University of Bristol in 2020.

She enjoys all aspects of dentistry but in particular oral surgery and is keen to learn all about implants! Tilly is very much looking forward to starting her foundation training post at Emsworth Dental Surgery, alongside doing training in Sedation and Special care with the Solent NHS trust in community clinics in Havant.

In her spare time she enjoys baking, illustrating and working on crochet projects and has two very chubby and mischievous British Shorthair cats in London who she adores and misses very much!

Lucy is our new foundation dentist who joined in September 2025 having graduated from Plymouth dental school. She lives on Hayling Island which is fab because she loves dingy sailing. Lucy also loves running and cross fit as well as being an animal lover. Recently Lucy expanded her family with two new guinea pigs. Lucy is looking forward to being part of the team doing a job that she truly loves and is very grateful to have the opportunity.

Ebony started her career in dentistry in 2016 as a dental nurse. Since then, she has progressed in her career and recently qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist from the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy. Outside of work, Ebony enjoys spending time with her family, friends and chocolate Labrador, Maya.

Emma started her career in dentistry in 2016 as a dental nurse. She graduated from the University of Essex in 2021 as a dental hygienist and has recently qualified as a dental therapist.

Dani is one of our hygienist who joined the team in September 2025.

She joined the dental world in 2018 as a dental nurse. She then graduated from the University of Portsmouth as a Dental Hygiene Therapist.

Dani is passionate about supporting patients and preventing oral diseases through education and tailored care while providing a smile.

Outside of the clinic, she enjoys exercise, travelling, and spending time walking her British Bulldog.

Grant is dedicated to helping patients feel confident about their oral health through prevention, education, and personalised care. He believes that clear communication, trust, and a relaxed atmosphere are key to creating a positive dental experience.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Grant brings a warm and approachable style to his work, helping patients feel at ease and supported throughout their treatment journey. He enjoys building lasting relationships with his patients and helping them achieve healthy, confident smiles.

Away from the practice, Grant enjoys spending time with his young family, cycling through the countryside, and supporting wildlife conservation initiatives. In 2024, he completed the London Marathon wearing a 10kg rhino suit to raise funds and awareness for Save the Rhino.

Emily started her career in dentistry as a dental nurse in 2009. She progressed her career and qualified as Dental Hygienist and Therapist from University of Portsmouth in 2017. Emily joined in 2025 and has been a great addition to the team. You will always see her with a smile on her face and making patients feel at ease.

In her spare time, she enjoys singing in a choir, pilaties, yoga and walking.

Kim joined us in 2014 as an apprentice dental nurse and subsequently qualified in April 2016. She was quickly promoted to the position of Head Dental Nurse and has proven to be very popular and valuable member of our team. Kimberley particularly enjoys nursing for the more comprehensive treatments including dental implant surgery and cosmetic treatments. Since Qualifying in 2016 Kim has furthered her training in Impression taking and Fluoride application.

When Kim is not hard at work you will find her travelling around Europe and spending time with Family.

Becki joined us in March 2017 and is a vital member of the team. Becki qualified as a Dental Nurse in March 2018 at Eastleigh college. Becki has furthered her training in impression-taking, fluoride application, and was promoted to Lead decontamination. Since then Becki was promoted to Staff Operational Manager in April 2024. Becki is always very enthusiastic, you will see her around the practice ensuring the practice is running smoothly, and efficiently. In her spare time Becki enjoys travelling the world, discovering new places and cooking oriental foods.

Kacey joined the team in October 2024 and quickly settled into the practice. She successfully qualified as a Dental Nurse in June 2026 and is a valued member of our team. You will always find Kacey around the practice with a warm, welcoming smile and a friendly approach to patient care.

In her spare time, Kacey enjoys going on holiday, keeping fit at the gym, and reading a good book.

Grace completed her Dental Nursing apprenticeship in 2023 at Eastleigh college. Grace particularly enjoy's chair side nursing for Dental Hygiene and has expressed an interest in becoming a Dental Hygienist. Grace has a busy social life and very much enjoys spending time with friends and family outside of working.

Casey started her nursing career in October 2020 and qualified as a Dental Nurse March 2023.

Casey enjoys nursing for hygiene and promoting good oral health, with a keen interest to develop this further in the future. We welcomed Casey in to the team July 2024 and feels like she has always been here.

In her spare time she enjoys longs walks with her dog and exploring the world.

Ria joined the Emsworth Dental Practice in February 2023 as a Trainee Dental Nurse. Ria brings a calming nature to the practice, this has helped many patients feel at ease.

Since joining the team, Ria has gone from strength to strength in building her nursing skills. Ria has now completed her training and Qualified in December 2025.

When not working, you'll catch Ria spending quality time with her family & friends.

Milly joined EDS in September 2023 and quickly became a popular member of the team. She was excited to pursue a career in dental nursing and successfully qualified as a Dental Nurse in May 2026. Milly is a friendly and approachable member of staff who always has a smile on her face, and nothing is ever too much trouble.

Outside of work, Milly is passionate about cars and enjoys attending local car shows and events.

Chloe joined the Emsworth Dental Surgery in April 2023 as a Receptionist/Trainee Dental Nurse. Chloe is a bubbly, personable member of the team and always has a big smile. She is very keen to start her career and will begin her Dental Nursing NVQ Level 3 course at Eastleigh College in September. Outside of work, you will find Chloe's social life is non-stop, she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her dogs

Ellie joined August 2024 following in her sister footsteps. Ellie is a Trainee Dental Nurse and shown that she is a natural. You will see Ellie around the practice with a big smile on her face.

She is due to start her Dental Nursing course in March 2025 at Eastleigh College.

In Ellies spare time she enjoys relaxing evenings in at home and enjoys traveling with friends.

Morgan joined the team in April 2026 as a Trainee Dental Nurse. She will begin college in September and is very excited to start her studies. Morgan has settled into the team extremely well and is kind, friendly, and welcoming to all our patients.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also loves walking her dogs along Hayling Beach.

Julie is our head receptionist and is fantastic in her role. Julie joined the practice in January 2015. Julie likes to implement ideas where she feels there is a potential improvement for patient care. Julie is a mum of two children and very much enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and going on days out.

Karen started working with us in December 2017. She is fantastic as a dental receptionist and enjoys the customer service aspect of her role. In March 2024 Karen was promoted to Denplan Lead. Karen is very approachable and will answer any questions or queries you have about Denplan.

Karen is married with 2 boys and enjoys spending time with her family when not at work.

Amanda joined us in July 2019 and is proven to be an asset to our team. Amanda has many years of experience in admin and finance and is looking forward to having a more face-to-face role with our patients. When not at the practice Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and visiting stately homes around the UK.

Millie Joined the team in April 2024 after Travelling South East Asia. She has had many years of experience in customer service and has fitted into our team seamlessly. When not working Millie likes to spend time with her friends and family and enjoys horse riding with her sister.

Lisa joined the team in November 2025, bringing with her over 20 years of experience in dentistry. She is a valued member of our reception team, always happy to help and committed to ensuring every patient is greeted with a warm welcome and a smile.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys spending quality time with her granddaughter.

Emily joined the practice as a Receptionist in May 2026 and also holds a Level 3 qualification in Dental Nursing. She is passionate about providing excellent customer service and always strives to ensure every patient feels welcomed and supported.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her two cats. She also enjoys arts and crafts and watching a good documentary, particularly those presented by Sir David Attenborough.
